Fee schedule
What a space, a niche, an engraving, and an interment cost. Effective September 14, 2026.
The cemetery is not run for profit. Prices for spaces and niches are set by Johnson City Lodge No. 561 to recover the cost of land, survey, and the columbarium, and to keep the fences and records. Grounds maintenance is paid for separately, by voluntary gifts to the Cemetery Association. Where a figure reads “ask the committee,” the lodge has not yet published a price and will quote one when you inquire.
Burial spaces (traditional graves)
A burial space conveys the right of interment for one casket burial, or up to two cremation burials, in a single grave space. Spaces are sold by the lodge's Cemetery Committee and a deed is issued to the purchaser, who selects the location from the available spaces. Prices do not include opening and closing, a grave liner, or a headstone. Verified Blanco County residents pay the resident price.

Columbarium niches
The columbarium has 40 niches, 20 on each face, in four rows of five. The two outer columns are single niches (one urn); the three center columns are companion niches (two urns). Prices step down by row, from the top row at eye level to the bottom row. A purchase conveys the right of inurnment in a specific numbered niche and includes the granite cover; engraving is ordered separately from the monument company (below).

Niche cover engraving (Tri-County Monuments)
Engraving is ordered directly from Tri-County Monuments of Blanco, which fabricated the columbarium, using their niche engraving order form. Prices are the monument company's published fees as of February 2025 and are paid to them, not to the cemetery.

Interment services
Opening and closing of a grave is arranged through the funeral home with a vault or grave service company; the cemetery does not perform the digging. The lodge's Conditions and Restrictions call for a concrete grave liner in every grave, and require that the Cemetery Committee be contacted before any grave is opened so the space can be verified against the plat and the burial recorded.

Cemetery Association maintenance
The Association, not the lodge, mows, trims, and keeps the grounds. It is funded by voluntary contributions from lot owners and the public. There is no perpetual-care fund; the cemetery is a non-perpetual-care cemetery under Texas law and depends on this support.

The headstone deposit
Why it exists: a grave with a funeral-home nameplate and no stone is the commonest failing in any cemetery. The deposit makes sure every grave here gets its marker.
- A $500 deposit is required with every grave purchase.
- A headstone meeting the cemetery's Conditions and Restrictions must be in place within twelve months of the burial.
- When it is, email the committee at [email protected] with a photograph of the stone. Once the committee confirms the stone meets the conditions, the deposit is refunded.
- If no headstone is placed within twelve months, the cemetery uses the deposit to have one placed.
- A headstone that does not meet the conditions will be removed and a conforming one erected, and the deposit is forfeited.

What you are buying
A purchase conveys the exclusive right of burial or inurnment in a specific space or niche shown on the recorded plat, subject to the cemetery's rules. The land remains the lodge's, dedicated to cemetery use in perpetuity under Texas Health and Safety Code §711.034. Prices do not include funeral home services, a vault or liner, a monument or marker, or engraving, and the lodge does not sell those.
